GE Appliance held the ribbon cutting ceremony today to officially mark the opening of their new distribution center in Jackson County, Georgia. June of 2018 is when GE’s new location in Jackson County was first announced by Governor Nathan Deal. Roughly 12 months later, GE’s new warehouse is not only complete, but is fully operational and completely staffed!
The permitting team at the City of Commerce was great to work with. If we needed something approved, they’d have a called meeting so we could get started as soon as possible. The City of Commerce definitely wants more investment. – Scott Martin, A.L. Grading Contractors
GE Appliance creates 300 new jobs and invest $130 million in Georgia
GE’s new facility is around 1.2 million square feet and is located near Exit 147 on Interstate 85 in the City of Commerce. GE’s new distribution center represents a roughly $55 million dollar investment and has already created nearly 100 new jobs. GE Appliance has also made several other major investments throughout the State of Georgia that total around $130 million!
